With 15 years in the Spa & Wellness industry it was a natural progression for Leah to open her own Day Spa & Yoga Studio.
Leah's passion has always been dedicated to helping others via the art of Natural Therapies and has had an extensive career leading her to manage some of the worlds best day spas including Spa Hayman, Hayman Island & qualia Spa, qualia Resort Hamilton Island.
Leah began her qualifications at the Australia College of Natural Therapies. Obtaining qualifications in Massage, Reflexology and Chinese Medicine. This lead her to pursue energetic medicine obtaining qualifications in Kinesiology, Reiki, Intuitive Anatomy & Theta Healing and Liquid Crystal Healing.
Leah's first discovered and fell in love with yoga in her early 20's whilst travelling. This lead her to practice and research different yoga styles. Leah has been teaching regularly for the past 8 years and continues to grow in her practice.
To date Leah is a registered yoga teacher (ERYT350/RYT500) with Yoga Alliance Australia and holds qualification Certificate IV with Byron Yoga Center. Meet Linda our Spa Manager.
Linda has always had a passion for helping others and began studying Beauty Therapy in 2011, she continued and completed her studies obtaining a Diploma in Beauty Therapy at the Australian Academy of Hair & Beauty. Airlie Beach soon called and Linda worked at Endota Day Spa as a beauty therapist and became supervisor for several years. Following this she re-located to Brisbane and began work at One Wybelenna Day Spa as Assistant Manager and Therapist . After an overseas trip Linda joined City Cave Float and Wellness Center focusing more on health and well-being working with allied health practitioners. Missing Airlie Beach she recently moved back in 2017.
Linda loves to help people find results for their skin with customizing facials to suit their needs, special occasions make-up, nails, waxing, relaxation massage and body treatments.
Cat moved to Airlie Beach in February 2018 and joined the team here at Vartamana in April 2019. Originally from England, where she trained as a Beauty Therapist. Her passion and specialty within the Beauty Industry is most definitely Eyelash Extensions. She trained in classic lashes back in 2012 and completed my Advanced Russian Lash course on the Gold Coast in 2017. Creating beautifully bespoke lashes are so fun and you see such an amazing instant result and loves handing clients the mirror to marvel at their gorgeous new lashes!
If Cat's not in salon you can find her out on the water on the boat, in the water snorkelling or sunbaking (with SPF on of course!) on the beach with my dog and bestie Peppa.
I have been a Remedial Massage Therapist & Lifestyle Consultant since 2003. I am also a mother of 3 Boys, a musician, a photographer, and a creative.
In 2011 I had discovered I had a minor Skin Cancer, and since then others have been discovered and treated. The experience made me realize that I needed to apply everything that I knew and had been studying to my own self care.
I have worked with many people who have been affected by Cancer. An integral part of my work consists of educating my clients about the dangers of the chemicals and pollutants toxic to their body and surrounding them in their homes, from body care products to home cleaning products.
Every little step we take towards avoiding and eliminating the chemical overload is helping our health, the health of our children, and our own quality of life.
I’ve been on the health and fitness journey for over 30 years. Coming from a competitive sports background, and with it, many injuries, I started exploring yoga in the hope of healing my physical body.
I did my first Bikram hot yoga class in 1988 and have never looked back. In 2000, I became a certified Bikram Yoga teacher which led me to further yoga training in India, exploring different styles of yoga from power sequences through to yin meditation. Over the past 19 years I have continually trained in more styles and furthered my knowledge across other fields, including Pilates, massage and nutrition.
I opened my first Yoga Studio in Noosa 2007 – Bikram Yoga Noosa, followed by a studio in Kawana and later, Aloha Active Noosa. During this time I also ran a number of yoga retreats in Vanuatu and Bali.
I found immense joy leading small groups on yoga retreats and have created Manyia Retreats as a way to explore more of the world and share my love and knowledge of yoga with people from around the world.
I am looking forward to the journey and hope to see you on in one of my yoga or inferno hot Pilates classes or at one of my upcoming retreats.
