It recently dawned on me that I have been working in spa, wellness and beauty industry for the past 14 years, and that I am pretty aware of what to use on my skin in terms of clean products. I term them clean meaning there a no nasty ingredients in them. I have also realized that a lot of women are nowadays quite educated in what ingredients to stay away from. However there are still a lot of us that are unsure and even mislead by brands. I did realize that I do have some room for improvement on what makeup, shower products and body care products that I have been using.
So, I have set a challenge
the #Cleanskin challenge to bring awareness, education and to hopefully to change over all of my beauty regime to be a holistic one. So I am really practicing what I preach!! If you feel empowered to do so, then join me on this mission. If you are already a savvy natural beauty then please share what products you find amazing & clean.
It can be very overwhelming to look at the back of the product ingredients, it really does seem like alot of mumbo jumbo unless you have a degree in sciene or pharmacology. There are thousands of chemicals out there to be mindful and how they can interfer and cause harm to the system.
Now I don't want to freak you out or instill fear. I believe that too much of anything can be toxic to the system. Below is basic guide of what to stay away from when purchasing a shampoo, foundation or facial cleanser. There are many more than what is listed below. But this is a good place to start when checking your ingredient list.
During the challenge we will go take a look at the products in our shower, bathroom cabinets, makeup kit and handbags. I will give advise on alternate products to use and why they are great for your health & wellbeing!!
WEEK 1 - SHOWER WEEK kicks off on Friday
WEEK 2 - BATHROOM CABINET
WEEK 3 - EMPTY YOUR MAKEUP KIT
WEEK 4 - WHATS IN MY HANDBAG
So Wellness Warriors join me for the #Cleanskin Challenge
